Southwest Airlines keeps investing in Nashville. Amid numerous new flights, taking on additional gates and $539 million in renovations on its BNA hub over the last decade, Southwest plans to open one of its first ever lounges in Nashville International Airport — though it may be Dolly Parton International Airport by then.
The airline announced on Sept. 2 that construction is already underway on four lounges in partnership with Chase Sapphire Reserve. Beyond Nashville, the others are in Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu.
Southwest and Chase promise locally inspired dining options, full bar service and barista coffee, plus other
amenities.All four lounges are scheduled to open in late 2027, Southwest said.
Nashville’s lounge will be located post-security in the central lobby, just above Acme Feed & Seed. While renderings aren’t yet available, airport officials said it will be about 30,200 square feet.
“This is just the beginning of a broader footprint across the Southwest system,” Southwest said in a statement. “With at least seven more lounges planned to open over the next several years across high-demand business and leisure markets.”
