Josh Berry has a new home in the NASCAR Cup Series.
The Hendersonville native is joining Legacy Motor Club for the 2027 season, replacing John Hunter Nemechek in the No. 42 Toyota.
The team announced the move on Sept. 8.

Berry joins Erik Jones and Riley Herbst as the organization's full-time Cup Series drivers. Johnson will also drive in the 2027 Daytona 500 in a fourth entry, the final Cup Series race in his career.
Berry, in the No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford this season, extended his top-10 finish streak to six races last week in Darlington.
Despite his streak, Berry is 25th in points following a dreadful first four months of the season which included 10 finishes of 30th or worse in the first 21
races. That stretch is well behind Berry and the No. 21 team now.
Berry enters his fourth full-time Cup Series season in 2027. Berry spent a year at Stewart-Haas Racing before it closed shop, then spent two years with the Wood Brothers.
