The celebration of life for Kyle Busch on Oct. 9 at Charlotte Motor Speedway ended as races often have over the last 20 years — with a Busch burnout.
Brexton Busch, Kyle's son, drove the No. 8 Chevrolet driven by his late father onto the Charlotte Motor Speedway tri-oval after introduced by his mother Samantha.
Brexton Busch circled the tri-oval, then eventually did a burnout across the tri-oval.
After finishing the burnout, Brexton Busch hopped out of the car, stood on the roof and bowed to the crowd in honor of his father.

The celebration of life, occurring at the start-finish line at the track, included comments from Samantha Busch, Kurt Busch, Joe Gibbs, Austin Dillon, Kyle Larson, Christopher
Bell, Daniel Suarez and Noah Gragson. FOX's Mike Joy hosted the event.
The speakers all shared stories and anecdotes from their interactions with Kyle Busch, including the latter three's perspective of Kyle Busch the owner, Gibbs' thoughts of Kyle Busch the driver, Dillon's perspective of Kyle Busch the teammate, Larson's viewpoint of Kyle Busch the competitor and Samantha Busch's thoughts of Kyle Busch the family man.
Kyle Busch died at age 41 on May 21 in Charlotte after complications from pneumonia progressed into sepsis, days before the Coca-Cola 600 race at the track. The racing community has honored Kyle Busch, his family and his legacy since then, including at that Coca-Cola 600 event, at Bristol last month and during the Kyle Busch Invitational in August at Bowman-Gray Stadium.
