Tennessee high school football teams are permitted to play 10 games in an 11-week regular season.
That means at some point, TSSAA football teams are going to take a week off from games. For the majority of Tennessee high school teams, that comes either now, in Week 8 or in Week 9.
The Tennessee High School Football Super 25 rankings see little change in the top 10, minus Montgomery Bell Academy and Southwind inching into the top 10 in place of Knoxville Catholic and Lipscomb Academy.
The state's biggest game in Week 8 features No. 7 Briarcrest at No. 3 Brentwood Academy. Brentwood Academy (5-2) defeated Briarcrest (7-0) a year ago 34-31.
The Tennessee Super 25 is our list of top-25 teams regardless of classification as chosen by the USA TODAY Network
