The Tennessee Titans don't expect injuries to keep offensive tackle JC Latham and safety Amani Hooker off the practice field for very long.
In fact, Hooker is scheduled to come off the physically unable to perform list on July 28.
The Titans put Latham, their 2024 first-round pick and projected starting right tackle, on the PUP list ahead of the start of training camp along with Hooker, a projected starting safety and one of the two longest tenured Titans. A PUP placement this time of year has more to do with creating a cleaner return-to-play protocol once the season starts provided an injury lingers that long, but there's nothing preventing a player from being activated from PUP within training camp, which begins for the Titans on July 29.
"With
JC, he was just dealing with a peck strain that he had at the end of OTAs last year," Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi said.
Borgonzi said Latham has been present with the Titans during the offseason. Latham is day-to-day on when he could come off the PUP list, Borgonzi said.
Latham started 13 games for the Titans in 2025 and 17 games as a rookie. The third-year tackle was limited in training camp last year, dealing with a hip injury. He hurried back to play Week 1 but re-aggravated the injury and ended up missing time as a result.
With Latham on the shelf, the Titans' top options at right tackle include Austin Deculus and Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson.
