Vanderbilt football has set a debut date for its new all-gold uniforms.
The Commodores will wear them for their matchup against Delaware on Sept. 15 (3:15 p.m. CT, SEC Network) at FirstBank Stadium, the program announced in a release.
The jerseys were first announced Aug. 5. It will be the first time wearing gold jerseys since 2020; Vanderbilt has exclusively worn white and black jerseys for Clark Lea's tenure.
The gold jerseys in a video previewing the new uniforms were shown with white lettering and gold pants. The Commodores have worn gold pants with black jerseys in recent seasons.
The first 8,000 fans at the Delaware game will receive a replica gold jersey and fans are also being encouraged to wear gold.
The Commodores will officially kick off their
2026 season on Sept. 5 against Austin Peay at FirstBank Stadium.
