Nashville chart topper Megan Moroney is helping fans imagine the life of a country star. The "Cloud 9" singer-songwriter has teamed with American Girl for a signature series of "concert-inspired doll fashions and accessories," making her one of the first celebrities to partner with the iconic toy brand.
Described as a lifelong American Girl fan, a press announcement said Moroney grew up creating imaginary concerts and stories with her dolls. She reportedly saw the chance to design an American Girl collection inspired by signature style as "a true full-circle moment."
Starting today (Aug. 5), fans can buy a special line of doll clothes and accessories designed to mimic Moroney's sparkling stage costumes. The line also includes concert-centric accessories like
a VIP pass, heart-shaped purse and guitar-and-microphone combo.
In December the "Six Months Later" singer will go one step further, debuting her American Girl x Megan Moroney 18-inch doll. The brand said Moroney's doll will be sold exclusively at Target. It's the first time American Girl's full-size dolls have been available at the national retail giant.

Moroney's American Girl collaboration is said to be timed with her ongoing Cloud 9 Tour, which is Moroney's first headlining arena tour. Her third album of the same name was released in March, debuting at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The achievement gave Moroney a historic first along with Ella Langley, whose "Choosin' Texas" was on top of the Billboard Hot 100. It was the first time female country artists had led the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 at the same time.
As Moroney's career has picked up steam she has also announced a collaboration with the fast food chain Raising Canes, which unveiled a signature Megan Moroney cup earlier this week.
American Girl said its Moroney collection is intended to celebrate "creativity, confidence and self-expression through play, encouraging girls to dream big, embrace their individuality and imagine themselves center stage."

The brand was founded in 1986 by Pleasant T. Rowland, who sought to combine American history with "aspirational characters" who could "inspire girls to make their own positive mark on the world," according to the company's website. Mattel acquired American Girl in 1998.
In recent years, the firm has partnered with clothing designers like Janie and Jack and GAP, as well as media brands such as Disney and "K-Pop Demon Hunters."
There is one American Girl store in the Nashville area, located at CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin.
