Week 4 has already arrived and the stakes continue to heighten for TSSAA football teams in the Nashville area.
Big matchups dot the schedule, beginning with Beech at East Nashville on Sept. 10. Oakland-Pearl-Cohn, Springfield-Station Camp, Page-Brentwood and Columbia-Marshall County are some of the more anticipated games.
Here's a look at the top 10 games in the Nashville area.

Game of the week
Oakland (2-1) at Pearl-Cohn (1-2)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
Both teams are coming off losses from Week 3. Oakland's however was the shocking result after it suffered its first region regular season loss since 2023 after Smyrna's 22-21 upset victory. Aside from that final score, the Patriots remain in relatively good shape while Pearl-Cohn could feel
the brunt of Oakland's frustration as no Kevin Creasy-led Oakland team has ever lost two straight. The Firebirds, who opened the season with MBA, CPA and BGA must survive one more week before its season starts to become more manageable.
Tom Kreager's prediction: Oakland 48, Pearl-Cohn 13
Tyler Palmateer's prediction: Oakland 45, Pearl-Cohn 21
George Robinson's prediction: Oakland 32, Pearl-Cohn 21
Beech (2-1) at East Nashville (2-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 10
Beech and East Nashville front-loaded its schedule with some of the best teams in Tennessee and both have performed well through the first three weeks. That trend continues in Week 4 against each other. East Nashville's win over Hillsboro on Sept. 4 was impressive on the offensive end (52 points) but concerning defensively (40 points allowed). The Bucs aren't known to give up those kinds of numbers on a Friday night.

Palmateer's prediction: Beech 21, East Nashville 20
Robinson's prediction: Beech 35, East Nashville 24
MUS (2-1) at Lipscomb Academy (1-2)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
Trent Dilfer's Mustangs have lost twice but by a combined four points, against two ranked teams (McCallie and Knoxville Catholic). Lipscomb Academy's defense has played well considering the offensive weapons its faced through three weeks. Dilfer will have to get his offense going in this Division II-AAA West Region game.
Kreager's prediction: Lipscomb Academy 20, MUS 17
Palmateer's prediction: Lipscomb Academy 31, MUS 14
Robinson's prediction: Lipscomb Academy 30, MUS 13
Ensworth (2-1) at McCallie (3-0)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
Briarcrest locked up Ensworth's offense in Week 3 after the Tigers' impressive wins against Whitehaven and Nashville Christian to open the season. A trip to Chattanooga will be no easy task against a team Ensworth beat 20-10 last year.

Palmateer's prediction: McCallie 21, Ensworth 20
Robinson's prediction: McCallie 24, Ensworth 17
Page (3-0) at Brentwood (2-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
Brentwood's secondary will be challenged against a Page offense that watched wideout Dylan Streeter catch three passes for 131 yards and two TDs last week against Hendersonville.
Kreager's prediction: Page 31, Brentwood 21
Palmateer's prediction: Page 24, Brentwood 21
Robinson's prediction: Page 28, Brentwood 10
Springfield (3-0) at Station Camp (2-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
Quietly, this may be one of the best games in Middle Tennessee for Week 4. There were fireworks in Springfield's 55-35 win last year. Station Camp has already put up 50 and 48 points, respectively, in wins this season and had 30 points in a one-point loss to Rockvale. That offense will have to pay attention to Springfield's Nic Young who had a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and one defensive TD in last week's 56-0 win over Portland. And don't forget the Yellow Jackets feature five-star defensive back Jermaine Cobbins.

Palmateer's prediction: Springfield 34, Station Camp 31
Robinson's prediction: Springfield 38, Station Camp 28
Milton, Georgia (2-1) at BGA (3-0)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
Senior Derrick Baker leads Milton's offense with more than 500 yards passing in three games but the question is can Milton's defense contain an explosive BGA offense? The TSSAA football state championship favorites in Division II-AA are in peak form already. QB Bo Bryan has 13 touchdowns passes with no interceptions while wide receivers Maddox Porter and Maximus Curry have a combined 30 receptions for 539 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Palmateer's prediction: BGA 42, Milton 35
Robinson's prediction: BGA 35, Milton 21
Columbia (3-0) at Marshall County (1-2)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
Columbia has been rolling, but it would smart if it was cautious against Marshall County. The Tigers' losses have come against Lincoln County (3-0) and defending 3A state champion Westview which is 32-1 in the last three seasons. Marshall County represents Columbia's toughest test to date.

Robinson's prediction: Columbia 35, Marshall County 28
Nolensville (3-0) at Blackman (2-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
A traditionally stiff Blackman defense was overrun by Riverdale, 38-14, in Week 3. In 14 games last year, Blackman gave up more than 32 points only once, to Oakland in the 6A state semifinal. Nolensville stunned Lebanon in Week 1 and handled business against Summit and Overton in consecutive weeks. The Blaze's defense should return to form.

Robinson's prediction: Blackman 27, Nolensville 14
Davidson Academy (2-1) at Goodpasture (3-0)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Sept. 11
After a lackluster Week 1 loss to Nashville Christian, 34-7, Davidson Academy has responded with a pair of wins. Quarterback Noah Green has 391 yards passing this season with five touchdowns. Goodpasture's defense as not allowed a point through the first three weeks and are led by Tennessee football commit Slim Leavell.

Palmateer's prediction: Davidson Academy 34, Goodpasture 31
Robinson's prediction: Goodpasture 27, Davidson Academy 20
Last week: Kreager (8-2), Palmateer (4-6), Robinson (7-3).
Season: Kreager 21-9 (.700); Palmateer 15-15 (.500); Robinson 20-10 (.666).
