When the Nashville Predators open the regular season against the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 1, they'll also be debuting their new broadcast agreement with Scripps Sports.
In April, the Predators announced a multiyear broadcast deal with Scripps Sports for all non-nationally televised games on WNPX (Channel 28) in Nashville. During the summer, the team revealed a paid streaming service through the Predators app
as an alternative viewing option.Scripps, which owns NewsChannel 5 in Nashville, has also expanded its coverage of Predators games to include eight other cities across the South, including Knoxville, Memphis and Atlanta.
Here's everything you need to know about the new Predators broadcast arrangement.
How do I watch Predators games? Two ways to access the broadcast
There are two ways to watch Predators games
beginning in 2026-27.
The first is the over-the-air broadcast, which can be accessed using an HD antenna on a smart television. Using this method, any fans in the following broadcast areas can access the game for free:
- Nashville - Channel 28 "The Spot" (WNPX)
- Memphis - Ch. 5.3 (WMC)
- Knoxville - Ch. 8.2 (WWLT)
- Chattanooga - Ch. 49.2 (WTVL)
- Jackson, Tennessee - Ch. 7.5 (WBBJ)
- Lexington, Kentucky - Ch. 36.2 (WTVQ)
- Louisville - Ch. 41.2 (WDRB)
- Huntsville, Alabama - Ch. 48.3 (WAFF)
- Atlanta - Channel 5.1 and 5.3 (WAGA)
"The Spot" is also available on several cable and satellite packages, including Comcast Xfinity and DIRECTV. A full list of cable providers that carry the broadcast can be found on "The Spot" TV's website.
The second option for viewing is via the Predators' new streaming service on the Predators app.
The streaming service costs $74 for the season and should be available to anyone in the Predators' regional viewing area, which includes Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and Georgia.
The app can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku and also be accessed on the Predators' website.
All broadcasts will feature a familiar broadcast team of Willy Daunic, Chris Mason, Lyndsay Rowley, Hal Gill and Kara Hammer.
Note that Scripps will carry only non-nationally televised games. The Predators have three nationally televised games this season — Nov. 5 at Colorado, Nov. 10 at Los Angeles and Jan. 5 at home against Edmonton — which will be broadcast on ESPN+.
