Ryan Blaney is on the pole for the Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on Aug. 15 at Richmond Raceway.
Blaney's lap of 22.225 seconds was a half-tenth faster than Chase Briscoe to claim the top spot.
After spinning in practice and a sketchy qualifying lap, Tyler Reddick will start 32nd. Kyle Larson (starting 30th) also will have some work to do in the 400-lap race.
