One person was shot at the federal courthouse in downtown Nashville the morning of Oct. 8, the Metro Nashville Police Department said.
The person is in critical condition and was taken to the hospital, the department said.
Yellow caution tape and multiple police vehicles were lining the streets near the courthouse at 10 a.m. Oct. 8.
The Fred D. Thompson U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building is located at the corner of Church Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard.

This is the second courthouse shooting in Middle Tennessee this year. Dalton Eatherly, the controversial streamer known as "Chud the Builder" online, is accused of shooting Joshua Fox outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville in May.
