The NFL trade deadline is still more than a month away, but chatter is already starting after a couple trades this week.
ESPN's Adam Schefter, reporting on the network's "Sunday NFL Countdown" pregame show on Oct. 4, mentioned Titans running back Tony Pollard as a player to watch among NFL trade targets before the Nov. 10 deadline.
Pollard, 29, has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in each of the last four seasons, including the last two with Tennessee.

The Memphis alum "fits the profile" as a trade target, Schefter reported, given the Titans' slow start and his contract.

Pollard is in the final year of a three-year deal signed in 2024 as the Titans aimed to replace Derrick Henry. He has a base salary of $6.74 million this year with $510,000 in roster bonuses spread across the season, per Spotrac.
The veteran back has been the Titans' clear No. 1 back through three weeks in terms of touches and production despite Tyjae Spears playing 44% of offensive snaps.
Tennessee also has rookie running back Nicholas Singleton and veterans Julius Chestnut and Michael Carter on the roster.
