Who had the best TSSAA football performances from the Nashville area in Week 7?
Every week we rank the top five best individual and team performances in the area. Factors include statistics, quality of opponent and how wins factor into the Tennessee high school football playoffs.
Top TSSAA football Week 7 individual performances ranked
1. Miles Reding, Kirkwood: Reding was 19-of-24 passing for 303 yards and five touchdowns. Had 75 yards rushing on six attempts and two touchdowns in 60-6 win over La Vergne.
2. Bo Bryan, BGA: Bryan was 17-of-19 passing for 317 yards and seven touchdowns in a 56-7 win over Davidson Academy.
3. Gyan Ezeta, Lebanon: Ezata had 15 carries for 241 yards and four touchdowns in a 34-0 win over Wilson
Central.
4. Kwadir Fletcher, FRA: Fletcher had 13 carries for 227 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-10 win over Goodpasture.
5. Hudson Holman, Pope John Paul II: Holman was 9-of-15 passing for 170 yards and three touchdowns in 28-10 win over Grace Christian Academy.
Top TSSAA football Week 7 team performances ranked
1. Mt. Juliet: Arguably the biggest win of the week came on Thursday when Mt. Juliet handed Gallatin its first lost of the season, 26-10. The Golden Bears limited the Green Wave to just three points in the second half.
2. Franklin Road Academy: After falling to rival Battle Ground Academy last week, FRA snaps Goodpasture's undefeated streak in a wide 41-10 win. Tennessee football commit Brandon "Slim" Leavell was limited to just one reception for 27 yards.
3. Riverdale: There was no Smyrna magic in the air on Thursday night as Riverdale picked up a sixth straight win in a 30-14 victory over the Bulldogs. Quarterback Gavin Hampton threw for 266 yards and four touchdowns.
4. Beech: The Buccaneers came back from being down by a touchdown in the second quarter, defeating Station Camp 52-35. It's the second time this season Beech has dropped 50-plus on an opponent.
5. Ravenwood: The Raptors picked up a massive 6-6A region win over Independence, 63-28. It was the Eagles' first region loss and narrows the race for first to Ravenwood and Brentwood.
