The Tennessee Titans have nowhere to go but up after a disappointing Week 1.
Tennessee hosts the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 20 in Nashville in a Week 2 NFL game.
The Titans (0-1) were pushed around on both sides of the ball against the New York Jets in the season opener on Sept. 13. Breece Hall surpassed 100 rushing yards, while Geno Smith was not sacked. On the other side of the ball, Cam Ward was not comfortable all afternoon as the Titans failed to establish a consistent rushing attack.
Philadelphia (1-0) had a big lead against the Washington Commanders in the second half, then held on for a 24-22 win at home to open the season.
Tennessee will need to make Jalen Hurts' job more difficult with pressure and an ability to contain the quarterback
run, while Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is always a big-play threat.

Titans roster 2026
Tennessee's offseason additions on offense did not make an impact in the Week 1 loss to the New York Jets. First-round rookie Carnell Tate had four catches for 38 yards, while free-agent add Wan'Dale Robinson had five receptions for 38 yards.
The Titans do have a young roster overall, especially on offense. The offensive line includes two players still on rookie deals, while second-year quarterback Cam Ward and rookie receiver Tate are also under the age of 25. Second-year tight end Gunnar Helm also is a starter.
Defensively, the group is more veteran. Jeffery Simmons was the lone consistent disruptor up front in the Week 1 loss, and the Titans will need more from offseason additions Jermaine Johnson and John Franklin-Myers going forward.

Sunday Night Football game
The Kansas City Chiefs open the season with back-to-back prime-time games. After Monday night's 31-10 beatdown of the Denver Broncos, Kansas City faces Indianapolis on Sunday Night Football.
The Colts (0-1) struggled defensively in a 41-23 loss to Baltimore in Week 1. Lamar Jackson had 364 total yards, while Derrick Henry ran for 144 yards and three touchdowns.
Kenneth Walker III opened his Chiefs tenure with 173 rushing yards and two touchdowns and should be a focal point again. Patrick Mahomes wasn't quite himself with 184 passing yards on 27 attempts, but he did run for a touchdown in his first game back from a torn ACL.
Monday Night Football game
The New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams are two other teams starting their seasons with back-to-back prime-time games.
The Giants and Rams play on Monday Night Football on Sept. 21, with the visiting team traveling west with a 1-0 record.
Jaxson Dart controlled the tempo against Dallas last week with 230 passing yards and three touchdowns. Malik Nabers played despite injury questions and caught six balls for 69 yards.
LA traveled to Australia and returned stateside with a 20-point loss to the 49ers. Aaron Donald will make his season debut, playing for the first time since the 2023 season. Myles Garrett was placed on injured reserve following the 49ers game and will miss at least four games after knee surgery.
Regardless of the defense, Matthew Stafford will need to play much better. The 2025 NFL MVP threw for 155 yards and an interception in the 27-7 Week 1 loss.
NFL scores
The Buffalo Bills opened Week 2 with a 41-31 victory over the Detroit Lions, opening up the new Highmark Stadium on Sept. 17. Josh Allen threw four touchdown passes and added two touchdown runs, making an early statement.
