Yolanda Moore was introduced as coach and general manager on Oct. 7 of the new Nashville Vibe women's basketball franchise, which is scheduled to start playing in the UPSHOT League in 2027.
Moore, 52, a Port Gibson, Mississippi native, played at Ole Miss (1992-96). She was a two-time All-SEC performer who went on to play in the WNBA. She helped the Houston Comets
win back-to-back WNBA championships in 1997 and 1998.“It is an honor to be named Nashville’s first head coach,” Moore said in a news release. “This game has given me the opportunity to compete, grow, and lead at every level, and I’m excited to create those same opportunities for the next generation of Vibe players. We want to build a winning culture in Nashville rooted in how we compete on the court
and how we show up for the community.”
Moore was inducted into the Ole Miss Sports Hall of Fame in 2010, and awarded SEC Legend status by the league in 2012.
After coaching boys and girls high school basketball, Moore started her college coaching career at LSU Eunice (2013-14) before moving on to Southeastern Louisiana (2014-16) and Clark Atlanta (2017-19).

Moore has participated in several NBA coaching development programs and served as guest coach for the Indiana Mad Ants during the G League Winter Showcase, head coach of the NBA Academy International Team at the Atlanta Summer Tournament, and an on-court clinician at the NBA Basketball without Borders Coaches Clinic in Japan.
She also served as the post-game radio analyst for the Memphis Grizzlies in 2007.
