We’re not talking about the NFL playoffs.
That’s a mathematically achievable but unrealistic expectation for the Tennessee Titans (0-4) and quarterback Cam Ward at this point.
But what about five wins? That was a sensible preseason prediction. It wouldn’t exactly make a good season, but something for Titans coach Robert Saleh to build upon.
We ranked the five most winnable games remaining on the Titans' 2026-27 schedule.
1. Houston Texans
Where: Nissan Stadium
When: Oct. 11 (noon, CBS)
Why: You can’t be winless and have momentum at the same time, but Tennessee has been pretty competitive in its last three games. Playing a fellow 0-4 team at home works in the Titans’ favor.
Houston’s secondary is good on paper but it’s been vulnerable, allowing 7 yards per pass. Dallas
Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb lit up the Texans with 17 catches for 189 yards and the winning touchdown in a 34-30 victory in Week 4.
2. Cleveland Browns
Where: Nissan Stadium
When: Oct. 25 (noon, CBS)
Why: The Browns are 3-1. But the wins have come against teams (Tampa Bay, Carolina, Pittsburgh) that are a combined 4-8, so let’s press pause on the parade for now.
Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson’s been solid, throwing for 855 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions. But again, the Browns offense isn’t too tested.
Ward and the Titans have actually played a decent schedule. Their early opponents (New York Jets, New York Giants, Philadelphia and Baltimore) are a combined 9-7.
3. Washington Commanders
Where: Nissan Stadium
When: Dec. 6 (noon, CBS)
Why: The Commanders (1-3) are coming off a 5-12 season, and who knows where they’ll be by December.
The Titans can benefit from their tape against the Baltimore Ravens when Lamar Jackson gave them fits with his dual-threat ability. Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels presents a similar threat.
Daniels’ elbow injury will be something to monitor. The Commanders have struggled to throw (5.5 yards per pass) with him out.
Washington is No. 21 in the NFL pass coverage, according to Pro Football Focus, with a 54.0 grade. Ward should be able to take advantage of that.
4. Indianapolis Colts
Where: Nissan Stadium
When: Dec. 20 (noon, CBS)
Why: The Titans have to play well against familiar AFC South counterparts, and the division is suspect outside of the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1).
Indianapolis (2-2) ranks 30th in run defense with a 48.5 grade, according to PFF, allowing 131 yards rushing per game.
Tennessee running backs Tony Pollard (ankle) and Tyjae Spears (ankle) have been banged up, but if they can exploit the Colts it’ll set up Ward for success.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
Where: Nissan Stadium
When: Jan. 3 (noon, CBS)
Why: Although Tennessee’s season-finale road trip to Houston is winnable, we won’t include the Texans twice on this list for variety’s sake.
And why not throw an upset into the mix?
The Steelers (2-2) have been great defensively in spite of their offense. But the vibes between quarterback Aaron Rodgers and coach Mike McCarthy don’t seem right.
If those two haven’t figured it out late in the year, who knows what can happen?
