The Tennessean Pet of the Week is returning with five animals in shelters and rescue groups across Middle Tennessee, and it's time for you to vote on your favorite.
The lineup includes a mix of playful pups and curious kitties from around the Middle Tennessee area.
Take a look and read what was said about each animal and then vote in the poll at the bottom of this story. Who knows, you could help a pet find their forever home!
The poll is open now through noon, Sept. 21.
Here are this week's animals, along with their shelter/rescue.
Nona
Nona, is a young, lovely medium/long hair cat. She is currently vetted, spayed and litter trained and will make a wonderful companion. Nominated by Montgomery County Animal Care and Control.
Brach
Brach, is a 10-month-old male
Border Collie/Poodle mix. He is fully vetted, neutered and can use a dog door for his house training. Brach gets along with other dogs and people of all ages. He also loves water activities too. Nominated by Two Ladies Caring Dog Rescue.
Daisy
Daisy is an 18-month-old domestic shorthair. She is fully vetted, spayed and litter trained. Daisy prefers to be the only pet in the home so she can get all the love and attention. Nominated the Cat Adoption Team of Stewart County.
Otis
Otis, is a 12-week-old male mixed breed pup. He has received his age appropriate vaccinations, house training is almost complete, and he is awaiting his neutering appointment. Otis has been around dogs, cats and children and loves them all! He is a huge fan of zoomies, walks and belly rubs! Nominated by Mikaela's Mutt Motel.
Avanti
Avanti is a two-year-old boy who is a little shy when first meeting new folks but warms up quickly. Since he has been at WCAC, we've learned that he is house and crate trained, knows how to sit, walks well on leash, is good with other dogs, and rides well in the car. Avanti needs a family willing to provide a little extra care because he possibly has an allergy to foods and/or other environmental causes. Nominated by Williamson County Animal Center.
