Tennessee Titans right guard Fernando Carmona Jr.is still being evaluated after suffering an ankle injury during his team's 12-7 loss to the New York Giants on Sept. 27. His backup, Jackson Slater, also has a "pretty significant" foot injury.
That was the news first-year Titans coach Robert Saleh led off with during his press conference on Sept. 28.
Carmona was injured during the Titans' first offensive of the game. He was helped off the field and did not return.
Slater played the rest of the game. It is not known when or how he suffered his injury.
Carmona won the starting right guard position over Slater during the NFL preseason.
