Four teens have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Cameron Frierson on Aug. 21, Nashville police said.
Another 16-year-old, two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old all face charges of criminal homicide and engaging in a criminal conspiracy, the Metro Nashville Police Department said in an Oct. 2 news release. The teens charged were not named.
Frierson was gunned down on Herman Street near the 25th Avenue North intersection after leaving a nearby high school football game the night of Aug. 21, according to police.

Frierson, a Hunters Lane High student, was walking less than a block away from the football field where Pearl-Cohn High faced
Montgomery Bell Academy that night. Witnesses told police that shots rang out from a white sedan with tinted windows around 10:30 p.m. near Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. The teen was struck multiple times and rushed to the hospital, where he died, police said.
In the wake of Frierson's death, thousands of dollars poured into a GoFundMe website for his funeral expenses and a reward was offered for information about the shooting. The reward money grew to $20,000 after political and sports commentator Clay Travis added $15,000 to the initial $5,000 offer.
No other information on the arrests or the investigation was immediately available Oct. 2.
