Clay Travis will launch a new sports media company featuring a local sports talk show on Aug. 19, a source told The Tennessean.
The source requested anonymity because no official announcement has been made.
Front Office Sports reported on Aug. 7 that Travis, a Nashville resident, was in the process of creating the new website. Travis will announcethe launch of Sport & State, and the first show will be hosted by the two personalities Travis began his media career with in 2008, Jonathan Hutton and Chad Withrow. The announcement will also be made on Travis' YouTube channel.
"Hutton & Withrow" will air each weekday from 7-9 a.m. CT and originate from Nashville, focused on sports in Tennessee and the South. Longtime Zone 104.5-FM employee Jordan Tinkle
will produce the show.
Travis began his radio career in 2008 with Hutton and Withrow on 104.5-FM with a Tuesday night show named "ClayNation."
Hutton and Withrow later started their own show, which served as the daily flagship program for Travis' OutKick media platform until 2021. Travis sold OutKick to the FOX in May 2021. He continued to run OutKick before stepping down in June.
Travis will host a daily sports show on the new network "Clay Travis Sports" at 2 p.m.
Other shows on the network include "Next Round Live" out of Birmingham, Alabama, and "On Tilt," a sports wagering program from Florida hosted by Kelly Stewart, Ariel Epstein and Joe Ranieri.
The nationally syndicated "Clay & Buck Sexton Show" will also be carried on the network. The show reaches more than 550 radio stations nationwide.
