Taylor Swift has gone country ... again.
The singer-songwriter will be heard across at least three country radio programs this weekend, from Nashville's legendary WSM Radio to stations across the country, as she continues a return to the genre that launched her career.
And more appearances could pop up.
Swift returns to WSM Radio
Swift will return to the airwaves of Nashville's WSM Radio during "Y'all Access with Kelly Sutton," which airs Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. CT. The station can be streamed at wsmradio.com.
Sutton, an announcer at the Grand Ole Opry and host of the weekly country music program, shared a preview on social media explaining that Swift recorded audio about "I Knew It, I Knew You," her song from the "Toy Story 5" soundtrack.
"Well, clearly Taylor isn't doing radio
interviews, but she did record some audio for us all about the song that she did for the 'Toy Story 5' soundtrack, 'I Knew It, I Knew You,'" Sutton said.
The clip then cuts to Swift explaining the significance of contributing music to the Pixar franchise.
"When I realized that we were going to have the opportunity to write a song for 'Toy Story,' it really hit me the weight of this, like how lucky we were to get to sort of take up what Randy Newman has created and continue that legacy," Swift said.
Swift joins iHeartCountry House Party
Later that evening, Swift will join Wayne D and Tay for the iHeartCountry House Party, airing Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. local time.
The show announced the appearance on Instagram, saying the conversation will cover "I Knew It, I Knew You," Swift's involvement with "Toy Story 5" and the response to the song.
"🚨 TAYLOR SWIFT IS JOINING US! 🚨," the station posted. "We’re talking all about 'I Knew It, I Knew You,' what it was like being part of Toy Story 5, and hearing how deeply the song has connected."
Listeners can hear the program through iHeartRadio. One station carrying the show is Bob 94.9 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, about 58 miles from Swift's hometown of Wyomissing.
The station's Instagram comments quickly filled with questions about whether Swift's appearance would be live or prerecorded. The station had not publicly answered the question as of Sept. 3.
Swift talks to American Country Countdown
Swift will also be part of "American Country Countdown with Ryan Fox," the nationally syndicated country countdown heard on stations across the United States.
Fox teased Swift's appearance on social media, saying she will "count down the hits" and talk about "I Knew It, I Knew You," her signature "tell" when writing songs and the one thing she needs in the studio while recording new music.
The segment will be available online after the broadcast at the American Country Countdown website.
The three weekend appearances come as Swift makes an increasingly visible return to country music. "I Knew It, I Knew You" advanced to the second round of CMA Awards nomination voting for single of the year. Final nominees are typically announced in mid-September ahead of the award show scheduled for Nov. 18.
