Tennessee high school volleyball and girls soccer games began this week. Here are the top performers from the Nashville area for Week 1 of the TSSAA season.
Aug. 18
Girls soccer
Sawyer Cooper, Gallatin: Cooper lead Gallatin with two goals and one assist in a 4-1 win over Siegel.
Ava Montgomery, Gallatin: Mongomery added two goals.
Eva Birkofer, Providence Christian Academy:
Birkofer led PCA with four goals in a 6-5 win over Zion Christian.Brenna Corbin, Zion Christian: Corbin scored a hat trick in a 6-5 loss to Providence Christian Academy.
Aug. 17
Girls soccer
Presley Lebo, CPA: Lebo finished with a clean sheet in a 4-0 win over Merrol Hyde.
Raleigh Tassa, CPA: Tassa scored a hat trick and provided one assist.
Volleyball
Landyn Chatman, Battle Creek: Chatman provided 11 assists and had 13 digs and three
aces in a 3-1 win over Riverdale.
Madigan Goudy, Battle Creek: Goudy finished with 12 kills, three aces and two blocks.
Gianna Ippolito, BGA: Ippolito provided 28 assists and had three aces as BGA beat Creek Wood 25-22, 25-18 and 25-22.
Johanna Snyder, BGA: Snyder led BGA with 15 kills and eight digs.
Kinni Rose Campbell, Eagleville: Campbell provided 35 assists and had two blocks in a 3-0 win over Summertown.
Presley Knowles, Eagleville: Knowles finished with 10 digs.
Campbell Leathers, Eagleville: Leathers had 14 kills and three aces.
Briley Bucciarelli, Houston County: Bucciarelli had 13 assists in a 3-0 win over Perry County.
Paisley Byler, Houston County: Byler added three aces.
Payton Mitchell, Houston County: Mitchell had 12 kills.
Aniston Allgood, Nashville Christian: Allgood had 11 digs in a 3-0 win against Overton.
Tinsley Allgood, Nashville Christian: Allgood finished with 11 kills and 14 assists.
Halle Bishop, Nashville Christian: Bishop had eight digs and four aces.
Berkeley Cernak, Rockvale: Cernak led Rockvale with 12 kills in a 3-1 loss to Stewarts Creek.
Nylah Logan, Rockvale: Logan had nine blocks.
