The Tennessee Titans are playing against Derrick Henry for the first time ever.
Tennessee will face the former Titans icon and the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 4 at M&T Bank Stadium.
Henry played nine seasons with the Titans, twice leading the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. He went to free agency before the 2024 season and signed with Baltimore, where he has twice rushed for more than 1,000 yards and continues to defy running back stereotypes at age 32.
Tennessee (0-3) will deal with the Henry-Lamar Jackson backfield tandem for the first time, a challenging matchup for the league's 24th-ranked rushing defense through three games.
The Titans need a boost in efficiency and explosiveness out of an offense that scored seven points last week
in the 12-7 loss at the Giants. Quarterback Cam Ward struggled in the red zone, including the game-ending interception in the end zone as Tennessee drove for the go-ahead score. The Titans were 1-for-3 in the red zone, with all of those trips coming in the second half.
With Fernando Carmona Jr. (ankle) and Jackson Slater (foot) on injured reserve, the Titans have a major question at right guard. Coach Robert Saleh was coy about what the team would opt to do against the Ravens.
Baltimore (2-1) needed only one play in the final 10 seconds to set up a game-winning Tyler Loop field goal in the 34-31 win against Dallas on Sept. 27 in Brazil.
