Aiden Kearney, a top-10 player in the class of 2028, committed to Vanderbilt baseball, he announced Oct. 12.
Kearney is the No. 8 player in the class by Perfect Game.
Kearney, who attends Hagerty High School in Florida, also visited Florida State before deciding on the Commodores. He projects as a third baseman defensively with strong power potential.
He is the fourth commitment in Vanderbilt's 2028 class and the highest-ranked one thus far. He joins Jack Rhodes (No. 33), Canyon Koonce (No. 261) and Liam Laffin (top 1000).
The Commodores brought in the No. 2 recruiting class in 2026 by Perfect Game and currently have the No. 3 2027 class.
During the offseason, Vanderbilt brought in Travis Jewett, who was formerly the hitting coach at Vanderbilt and USC,
to be in a GM-like role overseeing recruiting and the transfer portal.
