Dickson city officials are cautioning motorists days before implementing a traffic change in the heart of historic downtown Dickson.
The city is making the change at the intersection of W. Walnut Street and S. Main Street along the city's main drag effective Sept. 11, according to a social media post.
The traffic light will switch to flashing red lights in all directions, and the intersection will operate as a three-way stop for 90 days, the social media post stated.
Traffic and safety data will be evaluated after the 90-day trial to determine if the traffic light can be permanently removed.
"Please be careful and watch for the new traffic signs while everyone gets used to the change," Dickson city officials said in the announcement.
