In its final season, Nissan Stadium has not seen a visiting fan takeover quite like the one on Sept. 20.
Philadelphia Eagles fans have a huge presence in and around the Titans' home stadium in Nashville ahead of the noon kickoff between the two teams.
Social media posts as early as Sept. 17 this week showed Eagles fans on Nashville-bound flights.
That continued into the weekend, and Eagles fans have flocked here in numbers.
When the Titans entered the field for pre-game introductions, the reaction was mixed with cheers and boos.
Nashville has unsurprisingly been a visiting fan destination before, and notable Titans home games with visiting fans
making an impact include 2019 games against the Bills and Chiefs, and the 2012 game against the Bears. The 2024 Vikings game also saw a lot of purple in the Nissan Stadium stands.
We'll see about how the game shakes out in terms of fan presence and noise, but the Eagles will have plenty of support.
I’ve never seen so many road fans in our city. Ever. And, that’s saying something.

Close to 1000 Eagles fans just arrived at Nissan Stadium by boat on the General Jackson, some sailgating on the water. By land and by sea

Been covering this franchise since 1997 and I’ve never seen an opposing fan base take over Nashville on game day. Eagles 🦅 fans are everywhere!

This is my 15th season on the road covering the Eagles. I’ve learned to never be surprised by the passion of (and resources spent by) Eagles fans.

This has stretched from every NFL city, from London to São Paulo. So I don’t want to suggest the green in Nashville is at a… pic.twitter.com/N8r6O0Z6ay
It's important to note that the Eagles are 0-3 at Nissan Stadium all-time, including the Titans overtime win in 2018.
And no matter how much green is in the stands, it'll still feel like Nashville in summertime. The National Weather Service forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s and a heat index past 100.
