Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis was not claimed off waivers and will now become a free agent eligible to sign with any NFL team of his choosing to their active roster or practice squad.
The Titans parted ways with Levis on NFL cut day before the start of the 2026 season, ending his three-plus year tenure in Nashville. Levis started 21 games for the Titans between 2023-24, throwing 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions and leading the team to a 5-16 record. Levis was benched toward the end of the 2024 season and subsequently replaced by No. 1 draft pick Cam Ward as the Titans' starter. Levis elected to have season-ending shoulder surgery before the start of training camp in 2025 but returned for Titans OTAs in 2026 as the team's No. 3 passer
behind Ward and veteran Mitchell Trubisky.
Speaking to reporters early in training camp, Levis said he still believes he's one of the 32 best quarterbacks in the NFL and has been committed to that conviction since. That said, Levis hardly performed like a starting-caliber quarterback even against the second- and third-teamers he faced throughout the preseason. In three preseason games, Levis was 21-for-39 passing with 200 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. He was sacked four times.
Without Levis, the Titans' only quarterbacks on the active roster are Ward and Trubisky.
