The SEC in Week 3 is home to college football's most anticipated game in recent memory.
No. 9 Ole Miss
will host No. 7 LSU — or, more accurately, Oxford will welcome Lane Kiffin back to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for the first time since he notoriously left the Rebels after the conclusion of the regular season. Kiffin's weeks-long dalliance with the Tigers finally resulted in his bolting for Baton Rouge, leaving an infuriated Ole Miss fan base in his wake.Part of the reason for that indignation is the fact Kiffin claims LSU offers him a better chance to win the national championship. But Ole Miss, which finished the regular season 11-1, reached
the College Football Playoff semifinals without Kiffin in tow, knocking out Tulane and avenging a prior loss to Georgia before falling to national runner-up Miami.
All that to say: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium might be the most raucous atmosphere anywhere in college football in Week 3.
Elsewhere, No. 2 Georgia will travel to take on Arkansas; Jared Curtis will get his first start for Vanderbilt against North Carolina State; Kamario Taylor and LaNorris Sellers will face off in a battle of potentially elite quarterbacks; and Alabama will look to avenge its loss to Florida State when the Seminoles travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
