Dolly Parton's Brentwood home has become a memorial site for the beloved singer-songwriter and East Tennessee native.
Following news of her death on Aug. 25, fans have left bouquets, posters and heartfelt tributes at the gates of the home Parton shared with her husband, Carl Dean, until his death in 2025.
Scott Johannessen, one of Parton's Brentwood neighbors, said she'd be remembered forever.
"Dolly Parton gathered the music sleeping above the world, and woke it into song. A bittersweet time indeed," he said. "She is a loved person and an extraordinary musician, a true singer-songwriter, for the ages."

News of Parton's death was shared Aug. 25 in a social media video from her nephew and head of security,
Bryan Seaver.
Parton died following a brief battle with an undisclosed form of cancer, representatives confirmed to The Tennessean. She died surrounded by loved ones at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, according to a statement.

Where is Dolly Parton's home in Brentwood?
Parton's Brentwood home is located at 9510 Crockett Road in Brentwood, about 15 miles south of Downtown Nashville.
In 2014, Parton submitted a request to build a 2,400-square-foot barn on the north side of the property, according to a previous report from The Tennessean. The 80-foot-by-30-foot structure was said to “architecturally match” the other three barns on the estate.
How to pay tribute to Dolly Parton
According to an official statement, a small, private service will be held for immediate family, at Parton's request.
Fans and friends around the world are encouraged to honor her memory on social media by tagging @DollyParton or by leaving a message at dollyparton.com. The family also asked that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library atimaginationlibrary.com.
But perhaps the most fitting tribute to Parton is to carry forward the qualities that defined her life and career: grace, kindness and empathy.
