The TSSAA golf season begins July 27.
Here are the top Nashville area Tennessee high school girls golfers returning for the 2026-27 season.
Anna Powell, Central Magnet, Sr.: Powell, an Austin Peay commitment,
had a top-10 finish in the Class A state tournament, firing a 79-75-154 to place seventh and lead the Lady Tigers to a second-place finish. She shot a 72 in the region tournament and was low medalist in the district tournament with a 72. She averaged 77 on the season.
Lauren Powell, Central Magnet, Sr.: Powell, an Austin Peay commit, finished second overall in the Class A state tournament (73-73-146). She shot a 75 in the region tourney, helping the Lady Tigers finish first, and shot a 74 in the district tournament. She averaged an area-best 72 on the season.
Emery Mitchell, Central Magnet, Sr.: Mitchell, a Tennessee Tech commit, averaged 79 per 18 holes during Central Magnet’s run.
Lily Hyams, Clarksville, Sr.: Hyams won the District 13-AA title with a 3-over, 75 at Swan Lake, and finished as Region 7 runner-up behind eventual state champion Poppy Pewitt of Dickson County. She placed 12th in Class AA with a score 156 (77-79) and had an 18-hole average of 76.
Poppy Pewitt, Dickson County, Jr.: Pewitt won the Class AA state championship, finishing even-par 140. She also captured district and region tournament championships, while averaging 73.4 per 18 holes for the season. Her season low of 67 came in the first-round of the state tournament.
Alerra Strickland, Eagleville, So.: Strickland averaged an 82 per 18 holes last season with five top-10 finishes, tying for eighth at the Class A state tournament (78-77—155). She made the cut in the Tennessee State Junior and qualified for the Tournament of Champions. Her top finish this summer was a tie for second at the Sneds Open at Champions Run.
Laurel Bartos, Ensworth, So.: The Independence transfer is expected to play in the Tigers’ No. 1 slot.
Dalton Weprin, Ensworth, Fr.: Weprin was a middle-school medalist at the 2026 HVAC Golf Championships this past spring with a nine-hole average of 35.
Eliya Brandes, Harpeth Hall, Sr.: Brandes tied for third at the DII-AA state championship, shooting 1-over 141. She finished the season with three wins, including an even-par performance to claim the second of her two Ensworth Invitational crowns. She also won the Baylor Preview at Greystone (76-73–149) and was the region tournament runner-up at Harpeth Hills, shooting 76.
Ava Cipriano, Providence Christian, Sr.: Cipriano shot 85-83 for a 168 to finish tied for 12th at last season’s Division II-A state tournament.
Annabelle Walton, Ravenwood, Sr.: The Chattanooga commitment placed eighth at last season’s Class AA state tournament, shooting 80-69 to finish at 9-over 149.
Grace Prowse, Springfield, Sr.: Prowse is the defending Class A state champion after shooting 71-71 for a 2-over 142 last year. She had top-10 individual finishes in every event she participated in.
Natalee Wyatt, Stewart County, Sr.: After missing the 2025-26 season, Wyatt returns to build on a strong 2024 campaign. She averaged 39.7 per nine holes in 2024, winning the Creek Wood Invitational with a 69. She was the district player of the year and placed eighth at the Class A state tournament.
Halle Busby, Summertown, So.: Busby placed 17th place at the Class A state tournament after shooting 79-80. She placed third in the Region 6 tournament with a score of 77, while winning the District 12 tournament after shooting 82.
Hadlie Campbell, Summertown, Sr.: Campbell finished 18th at the Class A state tournament, shooting 79-81. She also won the Region 6 title with a score of 75 and claimed third in the District 12 tournament after shooting 83.
Jade Phothong, Webb School - Bell Buckle, Fr.: Phothong placed eighth at the Division II-A state tournament, shooting 75-78 for a 13-over 153. She was the district and region individual champion.
