The Nashville Predators will host a celebration of life for Brent Peterson on Sept. 21 at Bridgestone Arena, the team has announced.
Peterson, a former assistant coach and broadcaster for the Predators, died on Sept. 11. He was 68.
The celebration, which will begin at 12 p.m. CT, will be open to the general public. Guests may enter via the 5th Avenue plaza entrance beginning at 11 a.m. CT.
A livestream will also be available on the Predators' website.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peterson Foundation for Parkinson's, which Peterson founded in 2009 following his Parkinson's diagnosis in 2002.
"(Peterson) was an amazing person. I was very fortunate to play for him and to be around him," said coach Andrew Brunette on Sept. 17.

was a forward with the Predators during the 1998-99 season while Peterson was an assistant coach for Barry Trotz.
"Through the course of my career, regardless of where we were, different teams or different spots in my career, he always had the time to come and ask about me," Brunette said. "He was an incredible, supportive coach, and a friend. He'll be very dearly missed."
Peterson was named assistant coach of the Predators under Trotz in 1998, serving in that role until 2011. In 2014, he joined the Predators' radio team as a broadcaster until 2017.
Prior to joining the Predators, Peterson was an associate head coach with the Hartford Whalers (1989-91) and the head coach of the WHL's Portland Winterhawks (1991-98).
Peterson is survived by his wife Tami, his son Brad, and his daughter Kristin. Brad Peterson has served as an assistant equipment manager for the Predators since 2019.
