A deer in Dickson, Tennessee, was rescued from a reservoir near Luther Lake through a joint effort by local firefighters and police officers.
Video shared by the City of Dickson Fire Department shows the deer struggling in the water before rescue crews used a catch pole to lift it to safety. After being pulled from the reservoir, the animal slipped back into the water, prompting rescuers to conduct a second retrieval.
The deer was eventually removed safely.
“For those of you keeping count, that’s two in less than 24 hours! Shout out to the City of Dickson Police Department, Tennessee, for the extra help!” the fire department wrote on Facebook.
