Riggs' lap of 29.346 seconds was two-tenths of a second faster than title contender and rival
Kaden Honeycutt to claim the top spot.
41 trucks were entered for 36 spots. Luke Baldwin, Mason Massey, Derek White, DL Wilson and Dawson Sutton did not qualify.
Stewart Friesen, minus-20 points to the Chase cutline ahead of the regular-season finale, will start 13th, a couple spots ahead of Tyler Ankrum (10th in points).
