Most East Nashville residents probably recognize the House of Adora. Since its owner, Beverly Griffith, painted the Victorian-style home on Eastland Avenue all pink in 2021, it has become the site of viral Instagram posts, Kacey Musgraves' Rolling Stone photoshoot, an NSYNC Dunkin' commercial, and plenty of music videos, like Nashville singer Emily Ann Roberts' "Pretty In Pink."
Now, it's up for sale with a $759,000 price tag.
"This house is truly amazing- gorgeous, with great energy, and I have love love loved living here and sharing it with you all for almost a full 10 years," Griffith said in a social media post. "Longest I’ve ever lived anywhere. It’s time for a new chapter though, and whoever buys it is truly lucky!"
Griffith purchased the
home for $405,000 in 2017, according to Metro Nashville records. Before Griffith transformed it into a Palm Springs-esque Barbie dreamhouse, 2001 Eastland Ave. was a traditional, pale yellow single-family home with white trim and a front porch swing.
The all-pink facade first caught the neighborhood's attention, and then it brought in celebrity content. Just five years later, House of Adora has developed its own cult following on social media, with over 65,000 followers and a minimum booking rate of $150 per hour.
When Griffith announced the listing on Aug. 14, dozens of people commented on "the end of an era" and expressed hope that whoever buys it next keeps the bright pink exterior.
Built in 1915, the home has two bedrooms, one bath, and a total of 1,624 square feet, including a living room area that the listing notes could be used as a third bedroom or office. It also sits on a 9,147-square-foot lot.
There are hardwood floors, crown molding and nearly 11-foot ceilings throughout the house, plus a screened-in back porch.
"If you've been looking for unbeatable walkability, convenience and character in one of East Nashville's most sought-after neighborhoods, this could be your new home," the listing said.
It's just down the street from neighborhood restaurant favorites like Noko, Koré, Rosepepper Cantina, and Two Ten Jack's, and there are two grocery stores within a mile.
Instead of working with a real estate agent, Griffith listed the house as "for sale by owner" and plans to schedule all showings herself. She is also requiring a pre-approval letter or other proof of funds from anyone looking to book a tour.
