The Tennessee Titans will play "everyone" in the team's preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers on Aug. 13, Robert Saleh said on Aug. 11.
That will include starters on both sides of the ball, and
for more than a few plays.
"I don't want to put a number on it," Saleh said, "but it's not just a series."
Cam Ward started all three preseason games last year in his rookie season.
The two teams competed in a joint practice in Santa Clara, a couple days before the preseason Week 1 game.
It was a spirited affair, especially between the Titans' offense and 49ers defense who got into several scrums during team periods. Two Titans offensive linemen — Dan Moore and Austin Deculus — were kicked out of practice for fighting.
The Week 1 preseason game will give Titans fans their first look of rookie receiver Carnell Tate in a live NFL game setting. Tate has had a strong training camp so far in building rapport with Ward.
