The Tennessee Titans' initial 53-man rosterstayed intact for all of 19 hours.
The Titans have been granted the rights to three players via the NFL waiver wire on Aug. 31, bringing in new faces who haven't been on the squad throughout the offseason. Players claimed off waivers must be signed directly to the active roster, so the Titans will have to make corresponding roster moves to make space.
The players the Titans have signed are LB Owen Pappoe, DB Melvin Smith and DT Nazir Stackhouse.
Per NFL rules, the Titans trimmed their active roster down from 91 players to 53 players on Aug. 30, parting ways with some well-known players including former starting QB Will Levis. The roster is fluid, though, and the Titans can continue to tinker with players and placements
up to the day before the season opener against the New York Jets on Sept. 13. The Titans will also be able to build their 17-player practice squad here in the coming hours now that waivers have been cleared, and plan to bring back several of the young options they waived on Aug. 30 into the fold.

Titans waiver claim adds: What to know about Owen Pappoe, Melvin Smith, Nazir Stackhouse
Pappoe, a former fifth-round pick out of Auburn, has 66 tackles across three pro seasons in Arizona, including nine career special teams tackles.
Smith spent the 2025 on the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad after going undrafted out of Southern Arkansas. He measures in at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds.
Nazir Stackhouse spent the 2025 season, his rookie year, with the Green Bay Packers after going undrafted out of Georgia. Stackhouse was a member of the Bulldogs' two national championship teams in 2021 and 2022.
