You're desperately in need of baklava and a bike helmet, but you dread driving all over creation to find them.
If only there was a one-stop shop where you could simultaneously satisfy your craving for sweet, flaky pastry and purchase protective headgear.
Such a place exists right here in central Ohio. About 35 miles east of Columbus, OneLove Cafe and Bike Shop in Granville offers a diverse menu of drink options, food selections and bicycle services.
The business opened in 2024 in the old Granville Lumber Co. building at 415 S. Main St. It was a "passion project" that merged its founders' love for great coffee and food with their zeal for cycling, according to Fulya Doslovich, who owns and operates OneLove with Michael Brown, Ozgur Turkmen and Asu
Turkmen.
Doslovich, a clinical supervisor for the behavioral health team at Nationwide Children's Hospital, met the Turkmens - Ohio State professors she described as "talented" cooks - when she moved to Columbus in 2015. Brown is a U.S. Air Force veteran she met through cycling in 2022.
In a twist straight out of Hollywood, Brown had owned a combo cafe and bike shop in Philadelphia, so his know-how came in handy. And as serendipity would have it, OneLove sits conveniently next to the T.J. Evans Trail.

"One reason we chose Granville is it's a big point in cycling ... it has hills and a really good trail. It's also a big Pelotonia stop. We also thought a proudly minority-owned business would be an opportunity to bring more diversity to Granville," Doslovich said.
OneLove sells and rents a variety of premium-brand bikes, and mechanic Kurt Levy does repairs and gives hands-on maintenance classes. Community events are held frequently, such as an Aug. 16 ride for women of all gender identities. The business also has a space available to rent for private events.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday (no repair service) and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday (bike shop opens at 10 a.m.). For more information, visit onelovebikecafe.com.
