A Newark man previously convicted of the rape and sexual battery of a child will serve more than 19 years in prison for possessing child sexual abuse images.
U.S. District Judge Edmund Sargus in Columbus sentenced 56-year-old Christopher McInturf on Sept. 10 to 19 years, 7 months in prison for receiving and possessing child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio.
In 2011, McInturf pleaded guilty to two counts of rape of a child younger than 13 and two counts of sexual battery. A judge sentenced him to 10 years in prison, but he was granted judicial release in 2018 and ordered to complete five years of probation. He completed probation in 2022.
In his most recent case, McInturf
bought bundles of child sexual abuse videos for $80 to $86 via CashApp from a person he believed was in Paraguay, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Columbus. In one message, he requested videos of children 10-15 years old being raped, according to the news release.
One video was a 70-minute compilation video of 55 children, ages 2-10, being sexually assaulted, according to the news release. McInturf also had an explicit photo of the child he was convicted of raping in 2011.
McIntoff pleaded guilty to the charges in February. Authorities began investigating the images in his possession after the Homeland Security Investigations Cyber Crime Center received a tip that he was using CashApp to pay for child sexual abuse images.
