Pickerington Centralalum and Texas senior linebacker Rasheem Biles will face off against his hometown team, Ohio State, on Sept. 12. As it turns out, Biles did not want to be a Buckeye.
Biles spoke to reporters Aug. 13 about the possibility of playing for Ohio State after entering the transfer portal from Pittsburgh.
"They called and stuff, but I ain't want to stay in Columbus for real if I'm being honest," he said. "When I made my list and stuff, I told my mom I ain't really trying to be in Columbus. I ain't trying to be a Buckeye. They ain't want me out of high school and I was right there, so ain't no point in trying to get me now."

Biles was a three-star prospect coming out of high school and played for Pitt for three seasons. He played in nine games as a freshman, mainly on special teams, and set the Pitt single-season record with three blocked punts in a season.
Biles started 19 games at linebacker between his sophomore and junior seasons at Pitt. He led the team with 101 tackles as a junior while also registering 17 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions returned for touchdowns and two forced fumbles.
After last season, Biles entered the portal and committed to Texas on Jan. 10. He picked up SEC Player of the Week honors after recording two solo tackles, three assists, one forced fumble, and one interception last week against Texas State.
Despite not wanting to play for the Buckeyes, Biles said he was excited to play against them.
"I'm excited for that game, definitely," he said. "That's circled on my calendar for sure."
Biles was a two-sport athlete at Pickerington Central. Along with football, he was a key player for Tigers' boys basketball Division I state championship in 2022.
