A 16-acre, multi-story indoor go-karting complex is coming to central Ohio.
Supercharged Entertainment broke ground earlier this month on its fourth U.S. location and Midwest debut at 9300 Lyra Drive in Polaris, slated to open in summer 2027. The venue will feature two multi-level karting tracks totaling 80,000 square feet, a new immersive, challenge-based attraction called Time Mission, a two-story arcade area with nearly 180 games and several virtual reality experiences, a two-story drop-and-spin tower and a full-service restaurant and bar, according to a press release.
The New Jersey-based company advertises itself as the world's largest indoor, multi-level karting track and premier entertainment venue. It opened its first location in Connecticut
in 2017, followed by venues in Massachusetts and New Jersey, according to chief operating officer Cody Browning.
President Stephen Sangermano and CEO Sandra Sangermano are behind the company's decision to enter the Columbus market, according to the press release. Browning told The Dispatch that as Supercharged researched potential expansion cities, Columbus stood out for its population density, household income levels and what he called a "shockingly high influx of tourism."
"Sandi and I couldn't be more excited to break ground on what will be Ohio's and the world's best, all-in-one karting and entertainment venue," Stephen Sangermano said in the release. "Supercharged Entertainment Polaris has something for everyone – couples, families, kids, groups, and companies. We can't wait to bring Columbus and all of central Ohio the exhilarating and amazing fun our Polaris venue will have to offer."
In addition to Supercharged Polaris' karting track, the venue will feature a team-based attraction called Time Mission, which involves completing physical, mental and skill-based challenges through more than 30 "mission rooms," the release states. Browning said the Polaris venue will be the first Supercharged site to feature Time Mission.

We look forward to seeing Supercharged Entertainment join the outstanding mix of retail, dining, and entertainment already thriving here, and to celebrating alongside them when they open their doors in Summer 2027."
Supercharged joins a growing roster of entertainment concepts in the Polaris area. Topgolf and Puttshack sit just on the other side of Interstate 71, while pickleball "eatertainment" destination Smash Park opened off of Polaris Parkway in Westerville last year.
Polaris is also seeing a wave of retail development, with a new Wayfair store, a proposed Trader Joe's shop and multiple new retailers at Polaris Fashion Place, including CAVA and Fabletics.
