City administrators are among the highest-paid employees of Westerville, public records obtained by The Dispatch show.
City Manager Monica Dupee received a total of $279,276 in 2025, making her the city's highest-paid employee. Jason Bechtold, assistant city manager, was paid a total of $211,979 last year and was the second-highest paid employee last year for the City of Westerville, according to payroll records.
Westerville was founded in 1858 and is home to more than 38,000 people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
The other city employees among the five highest-paid in 2025 include:
- Christopher Monacelli, electric utility manager: $186,404.
- James Marra, platoon battalion chief: $181,916.
- Stephen Garnick, electrical operations manager: $181,106.
