A Columbus man died Sept. 24 after being struck by a vehicle in Morrow County while standing in the middle of the interstate, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
At around 10:23 p.m., Brandon Miller, 38, was standing in the northbound lanes on Interstate 71 near mile marker 147 in Harmony Township, the Patrol said in a media release. At the same time, 42-year-old Brandon Diguilio of Lorain County in northern Ohio was driving a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse northbound on I-71.
Miller was struck by Digiuilio's vehicle, the Patrol said. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by Morrow County EMS. Diguilio remained at the scene and was not injured in the crash.
The Patrol is investigating the fatal crash.
