Are you crazy for coffee? Does a jolt of java bring you joy?
If you replied “yes” to either or both questions, you’re officially a fiend for the bean – the kind you brew, not stew.
Caffeine connoisseurs will have the chance to indulge their cravings when the weekend-long Columbus Coffee Festival returns for the 11th year.
Held outside, rain or shine, the fest will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 3-4 at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, 4951 Northwest Pkwy., Hilliard. In the event of bad weather, some activities may be moved or canceled.
If coffee isn’t your cup of tea, then have a cup of tea! Nearly 50 vendors will include several specializing in various types of tea. It’s a matcha made in heaven.
The coffee festival isn’t just about livin’ la
vida mocha. There’s a latte of other fun to enjoy: live music, an alpaca petting zoo, a coffee history and antiques display, food trucks, local artisan and craft vendors, and art installations.
Some activities come with an extra cost, including ax-throwing, coffee-inspired flash tattoos, watercolor and splatter painting, a pop-up golf simulator, a mobile massage bus and tarot readings.
Rise and grind! How to go
The Columbus Coffee Festival, founded in 2016 by Walker and Anne Evans, costs $20-$75 for ages 13 and older, depending on the day, time and experience chosen. Tickets include a souvenir mug and samples. Children 12 and under are admitted for free with an adult.
The festival has historically sold out, so buying tickets in advance is recommended.
