The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Delaware and Licking counties.
At 1:34 p.m., the weather service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for eastern Delaware County and northern Licking County until 2:15 p.m.
The weather service said the thunderstorms were along a line from near Sunbury to near Utica and were moving southeast at 35 mph as of 1:47 p.m. 60 mph wind gusts were possible.
The storms could damage trees and power lines, the weather service said. Torrential rainfall during the storms could lead to flash flooding, and large hail, damaging wind and lightning were possible.
