A Delaware County woman now faces a murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of her mother that detectives say was carried out by the woman's boyfriend and his roommate.
Bryanna Dutcher, 18, has been charged with murder and obstruction of justice in the death of her mother, 55-year-old Tamela Dutcher, according to Brandi Orsini, a spokesperson for the Delaware County Prosecutor's Office. An updated criminal complaint was filed by detectives this afternoon, Orsini said.
Dajameous Payne, 21, and Christian Evans, 20, are also charged with murder in Tamela's death. Court records identify Evans as the boyfriend of Bryanna and Payne's roommate.
A man identified as Bryanna's father called 911 from his home on Bean Oller Road just after midnight
Aug. 14 and said someone had shot his wife, Tamela, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office said previously. A sheriff's office detective wrote in a criminal complaint that the two men entered her home, fatally shot her, and also fired on her husband as he attempted to help her. The men then fled the home, according to the complaint.
Bryanna repeatedly lied to investigators about the circumstances of the shooting, according to the criminal complaint.
The trio are all being held in the Delaware County jail on $3 million bond each, and have a court date scheduled for Aug. 24, court filings show.
