Tramaine Petty ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and after a three-day wait the South football team defeated Briggs 20-7 on Oct. 5 to remain unbeaten.

Dez Mack turned his only catch into a 65-yard touchdown for the visiting Bulldogs (7-0, 4-0 City League-South).
The game began Oct. 2 but was suspended in the third quarter because of fights
. South was leading 12-7.According to Ohio High School Athletic Association rules, the score at the time of the suspension typically stands as final. South and Briggs (3-4, 2-2), however, agreed to resume the game at 5 p.m. Oct. 5 without fans present.
South remains one of nine undefeated teams in central Ohio and three in the City League, along with West and Linden-McKinley.
South hosts West on Oct. 16. The Bulldogs host Africentric on Oct. 9.
