Eight days before the 2026-27 season begins, the Blue Jackets have found a broadcast home on Spectrum TV, following the NHL and Spectrum agreeing to a new carriage deal, the team announced Sept. 23.
Games on Spectrum will be available on the Blue Jackets Hockey Network, an NHL-produced service announced on Sept. 2 as the new carrier for Blue Jackets games.
According to the Blue Jackets' website, Spectrum TV subscribers need a Select Plus package, or a Select or Preferred legacy tier package, to access Blue Jackets Hockey Network on cable.
“Making Blue Jackets hockey as accessible as possible for our fans is a top priority, and we are thrilled
to have our games available on Spectrum,” said Blue Jackets Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Cameron Scholvin via a press release.
The Blue Jackets Hockey Network also has an exclusive streaming deal with Prime Video. The subscription costs $19.99 per month or $99.99 annually. Fans must have an Amazon account to access the service, and the subscription requires an additional fee, regardless of whether they have a free Amazon account or an Amazon Prime membership.
"We look forward to expanding access even further as discussions continue with additional cable and satellite providers," Scholvin said.
The area deemed "Blue Jackets territory," which will carry the Blue Jackets Hockey Network, includes most of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. In Ohio, Lucas County and eastern counties closer to the Pennsylvania border are excluded, according to the Blue Jackets website.
The network will carry all the Blue Jackets regular season games that aren't airing on national broadcasts, meaning that as of now, 82 of 84 Blue Jackets regular season games are scheduled to be available.
The Blue Jackets play their first regular-season game at home against the Buffalo Sabres Oct. 1.
