Ohio State football is back in the top five of the US LBM Coaches Poll.
After falling to Texas in Week 2, the No. 1-ranked Buckeyes dropped seven spots in the Coaches poll, then moved to No. 6 in the Sept. 27 rankings. Ohio State re-entered the AP poll's top five following its 41-19 win over Illinois.
Ohio State handled its business with a 45-16 win over Maryland on Oct. 10, while Texas' 27-24 loss to Oklahoma helped propel the Buckeyes into this week's top five.
The Longhorns dropped to No. 6, as Georgia takes over the No. 1 spot after defeating No. 7 Alabama 20-17 on the road.
Ohio State football rankings after Week 6
Ohio State earned 1,565 total votes and one first-place vote to secure the No. 5 spot in the Coaches poll. Georgia holds the No. 1 spot with 1,832 total votes and 60 first-place votes.
The Buckeyes' Nov. 7 opponent Oregon tumbled 13 spots to No. 25 after falling 17-15 to UCLA, marking the Ducks' second loss of the season.
