Fans of the Indigo Girls, one of modern folk music's most enduring acts, will be feeling "Closer to Fine" when the duo returns to Columbus in late summer.
The due of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray will share an evening of songs, stories and sing-alongs on Sept. 16 in the Bicentennial Pavilion at Columbus Commons. Special guest Linda Perry will open.
The concert is in partnership with the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) and Columbus Arena Sports & Entertainment.
Ticket prices range from $54.24 to $73.39, with a limit of eight tickets per person/household, at capa.com.
The Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge stopped in central Ohio in 2025 for a sold-out show at Mershon Auditorium.Recent years have brought renewed interest in the pair,
whose signature song, "Closer to Fine," was prominently featured in the hit "Barbie" movie. They also released a documentary, "Indigo Girls: It’s Only Life After All," following their lives, careers and activism. The film is available on Netflix.
Since her days fronting 4 Non Blondes, known for the Top 20 hit "What's Up?," Perry has founded two record labels and written for other artists, including Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and "Get the Party Started" by Pink.
