Things don't get any easier for the Crew, who host the New England Revolution on Aug. 30 at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field while looking to end a four-game losing streak that includes three MLS defeats.
New England is fifth in the Eastern Conference with 34 points, comfortably in a playoff spot, while the Crew are dead last with 20 points and have six teams to jump in their final 13 MLS games to make the postseason.
The game was originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29, but the league pushed its start back to accommodate the Crew's tight turnaround after returning from California following a 2-0 loss to Club América on Aug. 26 in a Leagues Cup quarterfinal.
